Early voters turning out at Clerk’s office
De Baca County voters are taking advantage of early voting opportunities prior to the Nov. 5 general election.
As of noon on Tuesday (Oct. 22), a total of 213 voters had cast ballots in early voting at the De Baca County Clerk’s office. Additionally, 92 absentee voters had requested ballots, according to County Clerk Jeff Hromas.
“It’s been very steady,” sasid Hromas. “We’ve had voters virtually every day so far.”
In the 2022 general election, De Baca County saw a total of 310 early voters (40.1%) and 92 absentee voters. There were 371 (48%) election day votes cast.
There are currently 1,250 registered voters in De Baca County, down from 1,325 in 2022, Hormas said.
Early voting in the Clerk’s office continues through Nov. 2. Registered voters may cast ballots from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. during regular business hours. On the final day of early voting, Saturday, Nov. 2, the Clerk’s office will be open for voters from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
