Tracy Dawn Ramsey

Tracy Dawn Ramsey, 56 of Fort Sumner passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 in Roswell following a sudden illness. She was born June 17, 1965, in Roswell, to the home of Aubrey Tyler and the late Denise Tyler (Barnhill). Tracy moved with her family from Roswell to Fort Sumner in 1971 where she attended school. Tracy was a stay-at-home mom for 15 years. She moved to Albuquerque in the early 90’s and worked installing sheet metal roofs and was said to have done a better job than her co-workers. She moved back to Fort Sumner in 2000, where she worked as a caregiver at Pecos Valley Nursing Home for many years until they shut down the agency. Tracy was an active member of the Church of Christ in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. Tracy loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed listening to music, “cruising”, or not so much cruising, because she had a need for speed, she liked to hotrod. Tracy passed on her love for music and hot-rodding to her children. She also enjoyed needle point and sewing.
Tracy is preceded in death by her mother Denise Tyler (Barnhill), brother Jamie Tyler, nieces Tifffany Moon and Jessica Tyler, and nephews Terrence and Matthew Tyler.
A loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, and Friend. Tracy is survived by her parents Aubrey Tyler (Martha), of Cloudcroft, her children, LaTasha Wilcox (Brent) of Canyon, TX, Salina Saiz (Kevin) of Fort Sumner, Jacob Saiz of Fort Sumner, sister Cynthia Lorenz (Joe) of Roswell, her brothers, Terry Tyler and Michael Tyler (Holly) of Roswell, 3 grandchildren, Ryaah Saiz of Fort Sumner, Clayton and Kade Wilcox of Canyon TX, dear friends Wilma Tunis and Sheri Head of Fort Sumner. Other survivors include numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephew, and many friends.
Services for Tracy Dawn Ramsey will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Church of Christ in Fort Sumner, New Mexico with Thomas Oliver officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial of ashes will follow at the Fort Sumner Cemetery.
