Manuel John Sena, 70 of Clovis, NM passed away Sunday, June 04, 2023 at Plains Regional Medical Center following an illness. Manuel was born November 07, 1952 in Fort Sumner to the home of Ramon Alfredo and Ramona (Barela) Sena.
Manuel grew up in Fort Sumner and attended Fort Sumner Schools. He worked as a Nurses Aide at Pecos Valley Care Center, De Baca General Hospital and after moving to Clovis worked for Clovis High Plains Hospital.
Manuel was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Anthony Parish in Fort Sumner.
He enjoyed listening to spanish music, visiting with his family and friends and spending time with his dogs.
Manuel is preceded in death by his father, Ramon Alfredo Sena, five brothers Ramon F. Sena, Florentino Sena, Jose Sena, and two infant brothers Juanito Sena and Christino Sena.
Survivors include his mother Ramona Sena of Clovis, NM, three sisters Helen Sena, Juanita Mondragon (Jerry), and Christina Garcia all of Clovis. Also surviving are many nephews and one niece along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation hours will be Tuesday, June 6 from 1 pm to 6 pm and Wednesday from 1 pm to 1:45 pm at the Chavez Funeral Home.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 7, 2023 in the Garden of Faith, Fort Sumner Cemetery with Father Sotero Sena officiating. Pallbearers will include Christopher Mondragon, Benjamin Mondragon, Jacob Garcia, Jerry Mondragon, Carlos Lopez, and Carlos Sena.
